Posted: 04 Nov 2010 04:02 PM PDT Daily Caller - On Election Night, ABC News grabbed headlines by hiring (and later dismissing) conservative Andrew Breitbart, MSNBC stacked its Election-Night panel with opinion hosts, and CNN was busy trying to find chairs for all of its 24— yes, 24!— in-studio experts. Meanwhile, Fox's more low-key newscast garnered the biggest ratings of the night, and praise for its balance. |
Will Barack Obama get a primary opponent in 2012? (associatedcontent) Posted: 04 Nov 2010 03:58 PM PDT associatedcontent - Having presided over a shellacking at the hands of the voters, President Barack Obama not only has to look forward to at least two years of dealing with resurgent Republicans, but also a challenge from his left flank as he runs for re-election in two years. |

Opinion: Accusations of Tea Party racism lose traction with voters (associatedcontent) Posted: 04 Nov 2010 02:42 PM PDT associatedcontent - How quickly things move in the age of communication. America voted only two days ago and yet the news of the Democrats' defeat seems already old. If a person made a list of things which went wrong two days ago for Democrats and Progressives, you would have to include one item that appears on the list of things that went right for President Obama in 2008: the mainstream media. |
Sarah Palin's midterm scorecard a springboard for a 2012 presidential run (associatedcontent) Posted: 04 Nov 2010 02:42 PM PDT associatedcontent - When all the confetti and balloons finally came to rest at the end of Election Day, the Republican Party had carried a very large percentage of the state and national races across the country. Although they didn't take control of the Senate as hoped, they did make the margin of majority for the Democrats somewhat smaller. They took an overwhelming number of House of Representatives seats. And through it all, a nonstop media frenzy swirled around Sarah Palin, her thoughts, Twitter posts, speeches and candidate endorsements. What would be the final outcome? Would her name carry the vote? What would it all mean for a possible Sarah Palin run at the presidency in 2012? |

Minnesota braces for potential recount, other races undecided (The Upshot) Posted: 04 Nov 2010 01:58 PM PDT The Upshot - During the 2008 election cycle, the razor-thin Minnesota Senate race dragged on for weeks on end, delaying the seating of eventual Democratic victor Al Franken for a full eight months. This year, it's the Minnesota governor's race that's so far failed to produce a clear winner. The open-seat race between Democrat Mark Dayton (photo, left) [...] |
