At the same time, as noted by CBS News, members of the GOP, who might be potential adversaries in the 2012 election all began vying for sound bites. However, with Obama's official entrance into the presidential race (he also filed his paperwork with the Federal Election Commission), he remains the only true major candidate in the race. Even though it isn't difficult to tell who might be running for the Republican nomination and several big names have played verbal games of maybe-maybe not with the media for months, none have formally committed to the presidential race as yet. |
